|When the CF Foundation began in 1955, few children with CF lived beyond the age of 3. Today, the median age of survival is 36 -- much improved, but still unacceptable. Although there is no cure today, we have been making rapid progress through research, and we have the tools in hand to develop even more promising new ways to treat the disease. Much work is yet to be done and the CF Foundation is committed to finding a cure and to improving the quality of life for people with the disease.
|Please understand that while tremendous progress has been made toward eradicating this disease, we need your support now more than ever. I am asking for your help- please consider making a fully tax-deductible donation to the Auction or the Charlie's Angels team.
|I know you hear from a number of different charities asking for your support every year. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is proud to carry the distinction of being named one of the Wall Street Journal's Smart Money Magazine's "Charities You Can Trust," having earned that honor by ranking among the top five most efficient non-profit health organizations in the country.
|All it will take to eliminate CF forever is money--the money we raise at events like the walk and our auction.
|Every cent counts in the battle to find a cure. Please make a donation online today and you will be on your way to helping provide more tomorrows by those affected by Cystic Fibrosis. All major credit cards are accepted. On behalf of Charlie, my family, the other children, young adults and families affected by CF, thank you for your support.
